How To Become A
Christian
1. Hear the Word
"How, then, can they call on the one
they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom
they have not heard?" Romans 10:14
"Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message
is heard through the word of Christ."
Romans 10:17
2. Believe (Have Faith)
"And without faith it is
impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe
that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."
Hebrews 11:6
"You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith
alone." James 2:24
"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does
not believe will be condemned." Mark 16:16
3. Repent
"I tell you, no! But unless
you repent, you too will all perish. Or those eighteen who died when
the tower in Siloam fell on them--do you think they were more guilty
than all the others living in Jerusalem? I tell you, no! But unless
you repent, you too will all perish." Luke 13:3-5
"Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you,
in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you
will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."" Acts 2:38
"In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he
commands all people everywhere to repent." Acts 17:30
4. Confess
"That if you confess with your
mouth, "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised him
from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you
believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess
and are saved." Romans 10:9-10
"Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and
told him the good news about Jesus. As they traveled along the road,
they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. Why
shouldn't I be baptized?" And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then
both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized
him." Acts:8:35-38
"Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also
acknowledge him before my Father in heaven, But whoever disowns me
before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven."
Matthew 10:32-33
5. Be Baptized
"Peter replied, "Repent and be
baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the
forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy
Spirit."" Acts 2:38
"So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus
Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days."
Acts 10:48
"and this water symbolizes
baptism that now saves you also--not the removal of dirt from the body
but he pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the
resurrection of Jesus Christ," 1 Peter 3:21
"Or don't you know that all of
us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We
were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that,
just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father,
we too may live a new life." Romans 6:3-4
"And now what are you waiting
for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name."
Acts 22:16
"You are all sons of God
through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into
Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ." Galatians 3:26-27 |
